On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 16:30 Prof. André Dias Pereira (University of Coimbra) will give a guest lecture "Recent trends in Medical Law in Europe: ART (Artificial Reproductive Technologies) and End-of-Life issues"
The lecture will be moderated by Dr. Ants Nõmper.
Venue: University of Tartu Art Museum (left wing, University of Tartu Main Building), Ülikooli 18, Tartu.
The lecture will focus on following aspects:
1. Critical analysis of recent legislation about ART in Portugal: access to ART to all women and surrogate motherhood.
2. Gene therapy: a new ethical challenge to our generation.
3. The debate on the End-of-life: Living wills, palliative care, euthanasia and assisted suicide: a European overview.
Prof. André Dias Pereira is a president of the Centre of Biomedical Law at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
