The School of Law of the University of Tartu organizes several international summer schools every year.
The 6th Martens Summer School on International Law will take place on on 24-28 July 2017 in the Estonian coastal resort town Pärnu . It will deal with comparative aspects of international law and human rights, particularly focusing on the issues related to Russia and Eurasia. One of the underlying ideas is to bring together Western, Russian and naturally also Estonian international law scholars, practitioners and students. The Cyber Security Summer School 2016 brings together renowned experts and practitioners working simultaneously in the areas of law and information technology from around the world. This year, we focus on the technical and legal foundations of digital forensics. The Cyber Security Summer School is a research-focused yet practical interdisciplinary summer school mainly targeting PhD students and junior researchers of computer science and law. We expect to welcome about 50 participants to join both the discussions and the practical week-long exercise involving the recovering of evidence and arguing for their case in court.
